Are you looking to lose weight but don’t want to give up your favorite foods or try extreme dieting? Then MyFitnessPal might be the solution for you. This app has helped me consistently lose around a pound a week without having to deprive myself of any food groups. In this blog post, I’ll show you how you can do it too.

How to setup you MyFitnessPal account

  1. To get started, download the MyFitnessPal app or go to myfitnesspal.com and click on “Start for Free”.

7. The app will give you a daily caloric goal, which is your estimate and baseline. It will adjust accordingly based on your exercise and activity each day.

Premium Version

MyFitnessPal offers a premium version that gives you access to features like Barcode Scanner, meal scanner, custom macro tracking and an ad-free experience. The premium subscription costs $79.99 per year or $19.99 per month. However, I find that the free version works perfectly fine.

I did cave and purchase the premium strictly because I like the convenience of the barcode scanner, but if it’s out of your budget, you absolutely do not need it.

If you want to try the premium version, I’ve partnered with MyFitnessPal to give you 10% off your premium membership. Just use my affiliate code 10affiliate22 or click here: 10% off coupon

Note: When you use my code or link I may get a small commission. I appreciate your support and hope this coupon is helpful to you!

Logging Your Food

To log your food, click on the diary icon at the bottom of the app, which will take you to the diary screen. Here you can see your calorie goal and how many calories you have remaining based on the food you’ve logged for the day and how much you’ve burned from exercise.

If you have the premium version, you can scan the barcode of your food, and the app will automatically log it. Otherwise, you can search for your food using the toolbar, and once you find your food, enter the serving size and add it to your diary.
