While I love eating delicious foods, I’m usually the type of gal that just wants to cut to the chase!  In this busy, modern world I don’t have hours to cook up a gourmet meal.  I am always looking for easy ways to get my nutrients in every day, and basic smoothies are always a winner.  If you need some quick and easy ways to get in a serving of protein, fruits and veggies,  this very basic berry protein smoothie is the answer!

This quick and easy basic berry smoothie recipe is not only healthy and easy to make, it is also absolutely delicious. When I am craving something sweet, it seems to do the trick.

You can substitute the berries with other fruits as well, using the same formula to make your own personal creation.  It really doesn’t get more simple than this!

Basic Berry Protein Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of leafy greens or packet of frozen greens (I used the packet shown here)
  • 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein
  • 12 ounces of almond milk (you can add more or less depending on the texture you like)
  • Blender

Instructions:

Place all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.  Add more almond milk if necessary.  That’s it!  Drink up….told you it’s quick and easy!
