SKIMS Swim Triangle Top with Dipped Tie Bottoms
Let’s kick things off with the SKIMS swim triangle top and swim dipped tie bottoms. I purchased this in the color light pink and am obsessed with this hue! This bikini was my first purchase from SKIMS, and while it’s a bit more revealing than my everyday style, it still holds its own purpose. The low-cut top offers some coverage (but not much if you’re larger chested like me), and I love the adjustable ties on both the front and back.
The bottoms are classic and versatile, perfect for mixing and matching with other pieces. I’m pleasantly surprised by how flattering the dipped cut is. However, the website mentioned that the fabric may be sheer when wet, so if anyone has experience to test wearing it in the water, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Bandeau Bikini Top
Next up is the bandeau bikini, which I absolutely adore. This piece provides fuller coverage for the chest, in particular the cleavage area, making me feel more comfortable and confident. I love the detachable adjustable band, which not only adds a cute touch while on but also helps with tan lines when removed. Keep in mind that this pullover lacks any clasps or adjustments, so make sure you find the right fit. Surprisingly, the silicon band on the top seam didn’t cause any discomfort. Overall, it’s a winner in my books!
Tank Bikini Top
Now, onto one of my favorite pieces from this haul—the SKIMS swim tank bikini! I can’t stress enough how much I love this one. It’s not only adorable but also versatile enough to layer under Athleisure outfits for a sporty vibe. The under-band and thicker straps provide added support and comfort, and the pullover construction ensures a comfortable fit. The square neckline gives it a chic and sporty look that I absolutely adore. This will definitely see a lot of use in my wardrobe.
SKIMS Swim High Neck Top and Shaping Fold Over Bikini Bottom
The swim high neck didn’t quite work for me. I’m wearing this in the color Onyx which is a very classic black. It felt uncomfortable, particularly with the tight straps and odd under-band placement. I have broad shoulders, and this design accentuated their width, which isn’t my preference. I’m not sure if I love or hate the back. I wouldn’t mind more coverage but I like that the design doesn’t create even the slightest hint of back bulge! Overall this piece just wasn’t anything like I expected it to be, and I plan on returning it.
The shaping fold over bikini bottom is the clear winner in this set. The coverage on both the front and the back was great, and the bottoms had a smoothing effect with ruching on the sides. It’s a perfect choice for occasions when I want more coverage and a flattering silhouette.
SKIMS Plunge Bikini Top and Cheeky Tanga Bottoms
Lastly, we have the plunge bikini top and cheeky tanga bottoms—the ultimate sexy black suit set! This one will be reserved for beach days rather than family pool gatherings. I initially wanted the plunge bikini in the light pink color but it sold out fast. I hoping to catch it on the next restock!
The plunging neckline offers just the right amount of allure, with the SKIMS rubber logo adding a stylish touch. The adjustable straps on the back provide a customized fit, and the bottoms beautifully accentuate the curve of the hips with a flattering dip. It’s my go-to when I want to feel a little more daring. I may like it even better than the tank bikini, but I just can’t decide!
There you have it, my honest review of the SKIMS swimwear pieces from my recent haul. Each item has its unique charm and suitability for different occasions. From the revealing yet stunning triangle top to the chic and sporty tank bikini top, SKIMS seems to offer something for everyone’s style and preference.
